Not only does it offer your daily essentials but also provides your banks and services, dining and entertainment, food, fashion, and homewares. Charlestown Square is regularly hosting events from Senior Society Catchups to school holiday fun with the kids.

CBDs

Zip onto the highway and it’s quick a 20min commute into Newcastle CBD, taking the hassle out of driving into the city for work or for a romantic date night. 

Charlestown, the primary CBD for Lake Macquarie city council, is even closer still, so getting to work is a breeze.

There is no shortage of schools, childcare and preschools on Hillside Grove’s doorstep. Hunter Sports High, Kahibah Public, Whitebridge High, Whitebridge Kindergarten, Birralee Preschool, Charlestown East Public, and Dudley Public Schools are all within a 5min drive from home.

Slightly further afield, Newcastle’s private schools; St Francis Xavier's College, St Pius X High School, and Newcastle Grammar School are no more than a 15min drive from home.

Health, hospitals, specialists, and medical centres are widely available from Hillside Grove. Whether visiting a loved one, working there or needing medical attention, help is just a short trip away. A huge number of medical specialists are located in the Charlestown CBD, just a 5min drive from your door. Newcastle's major public hospitals – Calvary Mater and John Hunter, are no more than 20mins away, and the private hospitals – Lingard, Warners Bay and Lake Macquarie, are as close as 5mins from Hillside Grove.

Connectivity

It takes only 3mins to connect to the Pacific Highway, the major connecting road between Belmont and Newcastle. Starting on the Pacific Highway, you can be in the heart of Sydney in a 2hr drive.

The closest bus stop is approximately an 11min walk just up the hill at the Dudley Road shops. Route 48 services this stop and travels between Belmont and Warners Bay.
